Internet Archive

I just found, again, the Internet Archive site that has movies, audio, movies of gaming interactions, and other cool stuff. Need to find it again. The Game Videos are especially useful for me, trying to understand gaming without really being much of a gamer.

Famously manipulated photographs

This is an interesting site I keep losing track of, so I'm pasting it here. It's
from "the lowercase world of sreenath sreenivasan," who is dean of students & professor at columbia journalism school, tech guru at WABC-TV, and co-founder of the south asian journalists association as well as a columnist at poynter.org.

This site archives famous examples of manipulated photographs, such as Brian Walski's images of the Gulf War, the Time and Newsweek covers that featured O.J. Simpson's mugshot and the altering of Mrs. McCaughey's teeth.

Central Florida Memory Project

Check out the Central Florida Memory Project at http://www.cfmemory.org/

According to the main page,
Central Florida Memory is a unique digital collection of material contributed by partner institutions to create a virtual place where visitors can discover what Central Florida was like before theme parks and the space program. Diaries and letters describe the region and how people survived day-by-day in this extreme and rugged environment. Maps, photographs, and postcards illustrate how the region looked in the early years and how it changed over time. Voters’ registration and funeral records and city directories provide demographic information that makes the picture of the Central Florida settler come into focus.
